Colorful watercolor of a lighthouse beaming rainbow light over a seaside house under a starry blue sky with clouds.

How are you allowing your Light to be a beacon for others?

bea·con

/ˈbēkən/ noun

a fire or light set up in a high or prominent position as a warning, signal, or celebration.

Here are some words to ponder as you let this question marinate in your heart:

Be the Beacon

Poem by: Christine Nicholas (she/her)

Art by: Mari Pardun (they/them)

How is your beacon burning bright?

Like the sun in the sky?

Like a moth to a flame? Like a lighthouse beckoning you to its warm embrace? Like a landing strip of lit up words to encourage? Through the feeling of gratitude for ALL of life despite the strife?

How is your beacon burning bright in a world plagued with wars and fires mired by thinking that is less than inspired less than the peace speech that is loving Can you choose again? Can you allow your Light to shine through the cracked recesses of your mind?

Does your beacon burn bright for a certain mission or vision? Does it shout or whisper from your heart with pause and awe for a specific cause? Is it in the quiet observation and appreciation of breath in the fullness of its in and the presence of its out?

No matter how your beacon glows or flows through you please know your beam is unique no matter what story you’ve been told no matter how quiet or meek no matter how lusty or gutsy let it unfold from you with no particular shape or mold BE BOLD and follow its greatness follow its vastness back to being the beacon of greatness back to what is TRUE back to YOU
