Reflection: To Pause

It’s important for me to make room for the stop and pause each day.

Much of my time is spent in movement, attempting to keep pace with those around me and my responsibilities. In the midst of all that movement, I can become so accustomed to what is around me that I stop noticing it.

Sometimes, forgetting how fortunate we are.

I reflect on the beauty that is before me and around me all of the time.

How easily it can go unnoticed.

For me, art can be a reminder of that.

A reminder to stop.

To pause.

To notice.

These photographs are personal moments of gratitude... an opportunity to spend a moment with what catches my attention, to look a little longer and to acknowledge the beauty that is always here.

I don't need to turn every moment into a lesson or find a particular meaning in everything I see.

I simply let myself experience what is before me.
